About:

Katherine King, PsyD is a licensed psychologist and an associate professor in the clinical psychology doctoral program at William James College. She is also a coach, consultant, researcher, author, speaker, and podcaster. Her clinical and research interests include adult development and aging, gender/sexual/relationship diversity (GSRD), as well as health professional burnout recovery and career development. Her work is grounded in existential, feminist, and multicultural principles, and as a therapist she relies on evidence-based CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused interventions. This group is appropriate for mental health and other health care professionals as well as administrators of health care settings serving older adults. Bring clinical concerns about your current clients/patients or general questions about aging and mental health, evidence-based treatments, cognitive screening, dementia-related behavioral disturbances, caregiving, evaluating elder abuse and other ethical quandaries, working across culture and generation, age-friendly health care, disrupting ageism, and more. This will be a confidential group held on a HIPAA-secure video platform.
